NEW CANTING KIT FOR SMART-TERMINAL

Smart-Terminal canting kit

Enclosures manufacturer OKW has launched a case canting kit to optimize its elegant SMART-TERMINAL extruded enclosures for table-top use.

SMART-TERMINAL is designed for peripheral and interface equipment, communications, safety engineering, biometrics, medical and laboratory technology, healthcare, measurement and control engineering.

The new case canting kit inclines SMART-TERMINAL by 12° to create an ergonomic reading and operating angle. No extra screws are needed to fit the kit, the lava gray canting moldings are held in place by the side covers. Four non-slip rubber feet are also included.

SMART-TERMINAL’s aluminum case body has a large recessed area on top for displays, membrane keypads and operating elements. PCBs slide in to guide rails in the case body or can be fitted to the base.

The cases are available with flat anodised end panels or molded covers in UV stable lava grey ASA+PC-FR with deep recesses to protect cables and connectors. These covers sit inside soft-touch TPV gray or green seals. All the case parts are assembled with security Torx screws.

SMART-TERMINAL is available in one width (6.69”) and height (1.96”) and three standard lengths: 7.95”, 9.52” and 11.10”. Custom lengths are available on request.

Accessories include the new case canting kit, a wall suspension element for secure flush-mounting and hardware kits.

OKW can supply the cases fully customized on request. Services include: custom colors (minimum quantity 200 for the TPV seals); CNC machining; lacquering; screen, tampo or digital printing of legends and logos; installation and assembly of electronic components.
